Lighting on the Californian scene of the 1960s-70s through the prism of Judy Chicago, artist born in 1939 in Chicago (lives and works in New Mexico).
From her first significant works coinciding with the emergence of minimalism to the achievements of recent decades, which illustrate an emancipation of painting towards a freedom of movement between space, volume and body, this exhibition presents the work of Judy Chicago, permanently underpinned by convictions and activism dedicated to the cause of women. The historical installation Feather Room, created in 1965 by Judy Chicago, will be reproduced for the first time in Villa Arson's galerie Carrée.
