This touring exhibition dedicated to Volti's work will follow the VillafrancArt 2021 edition, organised by the town of Villafranca Di Verona in Italy, which presents monumental sculptures.
Volti, this architect of sensuality, has always known how to keep in his artistic inspiration, in his mind and in his heart his deep-rooted origins which are those of the Mediterranean.
The greatness of a work of art is as much to be able to exclude itself from its origin as to be able to rejoice in it.
In every work of art, there is a timelessness that dispenses with causal virtues. Whatever the place or time of their creation, paintings and sculptures are scattered throughout the cities of the world, circulating in the populations of an imaginary museum outside of time. Yet the serenity of every work seems to seek a resonant motif in a particular landscape. It is here, on this Côte d'Azur, that important artists chose in the last century to entrust part of their work, so that it still breathes the light of these mountains that plunge into the sea. Through which Ulysses still passes on the horizon on the line that divides the land from the sea. Where Picasso, Matisse, Léger and Chagall watch over the shores of the Bay of Angels, where Nietzche and Zarathustra climb the paths of Eze village together.
